Energy and Inertia

No matter.
Actually lots of matter
Possessing space
Balanced so perfectly
Centuries of equilibrium
Static granite
Steadfast
It holds a pose
What 2 footed
Passed beside
Centuries of equilibrium?
Potential energy
Release locked
Waiting for the earth
To shrug her shoulders
 once again?

  5. All of nature is a balancing act -- it's just not usually so obvious.

  12. Great post.... Love your header too.... We see lots of boulders like that on our hikes... I have a blog post coming up on Friday this week talking about a hike we took called "Chained Rock".. it's in Kentucky --and they actually chained a huge boulder on top of the mountain to protect the small town below.....Interesting hike and story.

    Hugs,
    Betsy
